Increase accuracy and consistency to achieve question mastery
While some centres believe in pure repetition (jumping straight into drilling without grasping the concepts)...
We believe that practice will only make perfect if it is done CORRECTLY.
Consistent application of strategies can help to reduce or even eliminate careless mistakes in their examinations. In addition, it helps to build up on their strong answering techniques to accurately answer every exam questions.
Students can easily achieve 20 marks jump (or more) if they apply this power drill.
Identifying blind spots, perfection to AL1-3
Usually at the final stage (2 weeks before PSLE), most students would either feel sufficient in their preparations or some just worry endlessly what could have been missed out.
A typical scenario like “I don’t know what I don’t know” would occur and students will feel insufficient, in other words, they have blindspots in their understanding.
To tackle this inadequacy, our revision checklist includes Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions to give them the extra boost to AL1-3 (last 9%).
The power consultation time gives them an ample time to test and rectify their existing knowledge. It also challenges them on their deficiency/blindspots and we can help to rectify them on the spot.
After doing this, students master even the hardest potential PSLE questions thus reducing “PSLE exam shock”.

“Hi Coach, although I have only spent less than 2 years in ISUN, I have learnt a lot and made many fun memories that I can reminisce. Through ISUN, my grades improved tremendously. I used to get 70s for science but after receiving lessons, I started getting 80s and even got a 92 for my prelims! One of my favourite experiences in ISUN was the first day I joined. At first, I felt confused as I was in a new environment. But I slowly got a hang of it when we started experimenting about the food- and water-carrying tubes in flowers. When I did not participate much and just watched, the people in my group encouraged me to join them. Surprisingly, I enjoyed mself a lot and learnt more than I had expected. I also enjoyed the Among Us activity where we did many fun activities and competed with other teams.Through this experience, I learnt many values, such as resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship. Even though my team did not win in the end, I still felt satisfied as I knew I had tried my best. I enjoy your class as I think you are always optimistic and cheerful. You are very entertaining and I always felt that time flew by when I was with you. The class is also very humorous and productive. They will answer questions happily and seem to enjoy the class as much as me. Overall, I am thankful for the friends that I made in ISUN. “I like that Coach’s class is very inspirational, and motivational. Sometimes, we joke and laugh about ‘things that are related to science’! But when times are serious, we are serious. I think ISUN’s S3 + Coach’s extra notes’ method helped me the most (transformed from AL4 to AL1). Most importantly, it is the studying and winning attitude! At first, when I went to other tuition centres, it didn’t really help me much. But when I went to ISUN, I could see great improvements. The memories like when it was time to eat fried rice in ISUN and taking photos were the best. My favourite memory will still be when Coach teaches and gives us S3’s / extra notes and when Coach corrects me! I liked it when Coach helped me to improve by 20+ marks and how my attitude was changed. "When I first joined ISUN, I had a one on one chat with one of the coaches and I remembered being really quiet and moody as I always am when I meet new people. But after a few classes, I started to open up.

“Dear Coach, thank you for being able to make my science improve from AL4 to almost AL1 (short by one mark) so I got AL2. I still remember when I got AL4, you went through the paper with me and said that without the not careful mistakes I made, the marks would add up to 10 more marks and in prelims, I actually got MORE THAN 10 extra marks and improved by 2 ALs. When I got my results, I was seriously really proud and happy and my total AL also got affected and improved as well. Of course, it was because of the S3, papers, and your drilling and revising science with us. At first, I thought that ISUN was just another tuition, and never expected my results to improve tremendously. But I enjoyed the class as well as the teaching and the activities organised just for us. There were some long words that Coach was able to transform into short and memorisable ‘words’. Coach has taught me how to identify keywords needed for certain types of questions and she also taught us how to analyze questions given in the test. From attending ISUN lessons, my science has improved and I am able to identify what keywords to use for each question. What I like in ISUN class is drawing S3. I am grateful that I am in ISUN class as her lessons are very fun and interesting.
When I made a mistake in my answer, coach will go through with me my mistakes and how I can improve my answer. After her lessons, I have learnt how to answer questions correctly, with the proper keywords used. The coaches kept encouraging me, allowing me to gain confidence in myself.

To me, ISUN coaches are magnificent.
You guys gave me the wake up call. The previous year, I felt that studying was not important. I did not take work seriously. Only after you guys taught me, I had changed my mentality.
It is not the end results but the journey to the end that actually counts and to me, this journey was certainly the best I could ever as for. Once again, thank you coaches for believing in all of us to do our best. I will always remember you guys."

"The ISUN coaches helped me to understand what is my full potential and made lesson fun for me. I always look forward to each lesson. They would also help me if I don’t understand anything or had any questions.
Because of the ISUN coaches, I managed to pass booklet B for the first time! My parents have seen improvements and they are very happy. Now, they ask me to help my brother for science. I hope that when I am older, I can come back to ISUN to help and volunteer."

The past year has been great! Your lessons are always interesting and fun! Thank you for always giving your best in class to make lessons as fun as possible for us. I like how the time in your lessons always pass the fastest. I remember how my results jumped from a fail to a high B in the span of 2 lessons at the end of P5 SA2. And now, I’m averaging A. In my most recent Mock exam, I even achieved 89! You help us in any challenges we face, encouraging us no matter what we do, including games during lessons, something schools will never do. I have learnt to be positive no matter what the results will be because what’s done cannot be undone. Thank you for all that you have done!"

Fail to high B in 2 lessons
We signed Mavis up for science in ISUN in April as she has always been scoring between the range of C and B. However, after six months of coaching, she finally scored an A in PSLE. As for English, I decided to sign Mavis up in Jul this year as she has been scoring B with no improvement since P5. However with the Power Revision and Power Consultation session, she scored an A for English in PSLE. Thank you!!

Thank you Coach for teaching me Science in ISUN. There are many things that are memorable. The experiential camp was so memorable that I couldn’t even stop thinking about it.
What I enjoyed most in your lessons is creating the Ah Boys to Men worksheet. Now thanks to ISUN, I was able to use my S3’s for doing my school work.
You are encouraging me a lot. Putting the word ‘Jiayou’ in my worksheet makes me feel the need to improve myself, to upgrade myself to have a better result.

“Ever since I joined your class, I knew I was going to enjoy your class. Your lame jokes and your ‘grandmother’ stories brought me such joy and happiness I even started to take an interest in english. I have joined other tuition centres but they just make me bored, making me lose interest in the subject. Your class taught me different strategies for english, allowing me to jump from C to A, which was the happiest moment of my life. Your S3’s can even be passed to my younger cousin for him to study and I bet these S3’s can be used until secondary school. During Power Revision, you and other coaches all put in lots of efforts to create that book. Our english Power Revision book allowed me to score 32 in my english! Thank you so much. You have made me grow not only academically but also in terms of my character and values :) You have always told me I had the potential to get A* and I should never give up. That statement gave me motivation and I promised myself to achieve such a goal. I will always remember ISUN. This is really the first tuition centre to hold such amazing activities to help students and EVEN OVERNIGHT CAMPS. I really want to thank all of the coaches and not only you :) THANK YOU!!! “I really enjoy joining ISUN as they came up with many interesting activities to not only learn academically but also morally, and gave me life skills that allow me to socialise with my friends, like during the camps. When I first joined ISUN, I was shocked and surprised about how they taught the students. This is the first tuition centre I had so much fun in. I was always looking forward to coming to ISUN despite the fact that it was actually a tuition class. I really enjoyed the classes like the time in Coach’s class when we were doing an S3 and cracking jokes while learning something new. ISUN has allowed me to maintain my A* for math as ISUN has taught me new skills and methods for my questions. I bet if I never did join ISUN, I would be scoring very low. “I got to know about ISUN when my best friend told me about it. Before joining ISUN, I was usually only scoring B’s for Science. During my first exam (SA1) with ISUN, I scored 69.5 which I was not so happy about. However, I worked harder under Coach’s guidance and help, and I managed to score a good mark of 85.5 for Prelims. I was extremely happy as my teacher also told me that I was top in my class. My goal for PSLE science is A* of course. I will work harder for PSLE and do my best during the exam to achieve my goal. Throughout my 5 months or so with Coach, I enjoyed the June Power Revision the most. Although it was tiring spending 48 hours of my June holidays at ISUN (for math and science) to improve my grades, the fun lessons and the chance for me to meet my friends again encouraged me to keep coming. I have made some treasured friendships at ISUN. THANKS COACH.”
“Having been in ISUN for about 1 year plus, I feel that ISUN is very different from other tuition centres. There is a lot of motivation and the teachers actually want to help you. Whereas in other tuition centres, the teachers just want the money. After SA1 I was really shocked I only scored 56, which is a C, for maths. So I worked hard, and under Coach’s guidance and coaching, I managed to score 76 for Prelims. It’s not the best, but I will work harder for PSLE. One of the things I enjoy about ISUN is making the Secret Success Strategies. Not only have they helped me improve my grades, but also helped me to become a neater person. I just want to say thanks to the ISUN community for helping me make it through P6.”
